VannaVanna Head

Vanna is a 3 yr old, petite female with a classic black and tan coat. She came to our program when her owner had to move and could not keep her.

Vanna is a bouncy, high energy girl. She is quite the House Princess, but is still learning boundaries and is very correctable. She is learning to stay off the furniture, to not counter-surf, and to not be mouthy. She will go in a crate, but with vocal protest. She rides in a car okay and does well on a leash. She can be nervous in new situations, but is learning to take life as it comes. She can become possessive of food and people, but is easily re-directed. She responds well to basic commands and is housebroken.

Vanna took a few days to accept the resident male dogs, but now gets along with all the dogs in her foster home with proper supervision and leadership. She has gotten along with all the males that have come and gone, but she can be a little competitive with females. She came from a home with older children and should be okay with kids, but her bouncy energy might be too much for small children. She was around several cats in her past home and is only curious about the resident cat at her current foster home.

Vanna would be happiest in an active home where she could spend a lot of time with her people. She would be okay with a compatible and equally-sized male dog for a companion, or could possibly be an only dog if her people were around most of the time.

This is a Level 2 Dog.
