Miles

Miles is a large 5 year old male weighing 87 lbs, but is a little underweight and should be about 95 lbs. He has a nice super-thick black and tan coat with the bushiest tail. He was an unclaimed stray from a Sacramento shelter, so nothing is known of his background. He does appear housebroken and sleeps through the night uncrated. He also seems to enjoy the cool tile floor or even the shower floor. He loves car rides and has proven he can be trusted alone in the car while his foster mom runs errands.

Miles is learning house manners, basic commands and living with cats. This is a smart boy, who learns quickly and corrects easily. He doesn't jump up on people, enjoys attention and pets, but is not insistent on attention. If he hears noises outside the fence, he gives a loud and consistent alarm bark. Living in a foster home with two adult German Shepherds and a big puppy, Miles enjoys playing with the puppy best. Due to his size, Miles will need a firm, confident handler. He will also need someone willing to take him through training, continue to socialize him and reinforce house manners. It is unknown how Miles would be with children or small dogs.
