Marta

Marta is a black and tan female on the small size, approximately 4 years old. She has recently had a litter of puppies just prior to ending up as an unclaimed stray in the Modesto shelter.

She is house-broken and has nice house manners, is crate-trained, and rides well in a car. She still needs some work on the leash. She does not like to be left outside alone, and will find an exit to get back with her people.

Marta has gotten along with the male dogs in her foster home so far, and really took a liking to the 7 month old puppy that was pulled from the shelter at the same time.

Typical of mature females, she can be a tad bit testy with other adult females. She is interested in the resident cat, but is easily diverted. Unknown how she is with children at this time.

Marta is very submissive to people, so she needs someone who is firm yet soft mannered. She will do much better in a quieter home where she can be with her people most of the time. She would love nothing better than to chill out all curled up next to her person and occasionally get up shower them with a frenzy of slobbery, wet kisses.

This is a Level 2 Dog.
