LindyGSD Head

Lindy is a petite loving female who was an unclaimed stray out of the Sacramento area. She is a beautiful black and silver with tan feet, and quite large ears. She is approximately 18-24 months old and weighs about 50 pounds. Lindy was not happy in the shelter environment, exhibiting severe kennel stress, but now is really blossoming in her foster home.

Lindy is a sweet girl who is a little shy and timid at first, but once she gets to know you, you will have a friend for life. She gets along with all of the large male and female dogs in her foster home. She likes to play chase, with the young males. She has also had appropriate interactions with a couple small dogs she has met, and so far has ignored the outdoor cat in her foster home.

So far Lindy is fairly quiet in the house and outside. She alarm barks appropriately. She will sleep quietly in a crate all night, appears to be housebroken, and enjoys car rides. Lindy heels fairly well on leash, plus seems to know sit and down. She needs continued leash work, and basic obedience training to be the best companion she can be.

The ideal home for Lindy would be one that wants to include her in their daily activities. Another playful dog of similar size would also be good, but not necessary.
