Jodine

Jodine is a gorgeous 1 year old shepherd/husky mix. She has a thick sable coat and is a substantial girl weighing in at 70 lbs. Jodine was an unclaimed stray from a Sacramento area shelter so nothing is known about her background. She was probably an outdoor only dog as many experiences in the house seem very new to her.

Jodine is a high energy girl that likes to play play play. She would love a large male to rough and tumble with. Due to her energy level and exuberance, she should probably not go to a home with children under 10 years. Oh and no cats or small furry critters either.

With a barrier, Jodine rides nicely in the car, without one, she likes to play co-pilot. She will sleep quietly in her crate at night, but has to be coaxed in. When Jodine first came into the program, she was very mouthy, grabbing your arm if she didn't like what you were asking her to do. After some firm corrections, she doesn't do that much any more, but she does try it again when she meets a new person to see if she can get away with it. Jodine knows some basic commands and is learning leash manners, and to settle in the house in the evening. While Jodine has not had any accidents in the house, it is unknown if she is fully housebroken, an eagle eye is kept on her since she likes to pick up things and chew on them.

Jodine is a very sweet youngster that loves to have her chest and chin scratched. She would sit next to you forever for pets. She will be a great dog for someone looking for a high energy bundle of fun. She would like a home that will provide her boundaries and structure as well as continue her socialization and training.
