BishopBishop Head

Bishop is estimated to be about 4 years old and is an unclaimed stray from the Modesto Shelter, so nothing is known of his background. Weighing in at 90 lbs, he may actually be part moose.

Bishop is very laid back and prefers to bask in the sun vs anything else most days. He is highly tolerant of the resident 10 month old Chow/Retriever puppy, never growling, snapping or biting no matter how much she bothers him to play. He'll indulge her for a few minutes most of the time, but when he's had enough, he simply retreats to the coolest location on the tile or in the shade for a nap.

Bishop barks sparingly, yet appropriately, alerting to non-normal sounds throughout the day/evening. He is house trained and knows how to use the dog door. He knows basic commands, such as "sit", "leave it" and "out." He does well on a pinch collar and hasn't yet exhibited any prey drive. A quick test with a cat showed curiosity, but not much else. Still unsure how he'd do around small children, but tolerates his tiny 16 year old foster sister quite well.
