Riley May

Riley May was an owner surrender who came to the rescue after the owners realized they didn't have the time a puppy requires. She is a female, black and tan, 3 month old (born April 16th) and has huge paws to grow into.

She is currently being fostered with a one year old female German Shepherd who is trying to teach her the ropes. She enjoys playing with her foster sister but is still unsure of some new things. Riley is learning potty training and walking on a leash. She cries in her crate, but eventually settles. She enjoys snuggling up to cuddle. Lots of toys will be needed to redirect her when she begins her teething stage.

Riley May would do best in a home with another adult male dog who she can look up to for guidance. She lives with two children (ages 1 and 5), a bird and cats in her foster home. She loves kids, but can get jumpy and knock over small children especially as she gets bigger. She hasn't shown much interest in the bird but has found the cats under the bed and barked at them a bit. She is being taught to not bark at the cats and will likely gain a healthy respect for them.
