Lubeck

Lubeck (aka Lu) is a large handsome black and cream male. He is approximately 3 years old, and weighs in at about 90lbs. This boy is on the thin side so could stand to put on a few pounds.

Lubeck is a little bit of both a chill, mellow dude, and a bull in a china shop. Most of the time Lu is a 'go with the flow' kind of dog, he walks nicely on leash, he hasn't reacted to people, objects or other animals while out walking. He is easy to have in a crate or kennel, and he is content outside during the day alone, or with another dog. But, when Lu gets excited he gallops through the house, tries to sit on your lap, and wants to wrestle another young dog in his foster home in the middle of the living room, right next to you. This boy doesn't have a clue about personal space!

Lubeck gets along with the other large dogs in his foster home. He respects the older dogs, and does not pester them, but does like a game of chase, or wrestling with the younger dogs. Lu likes a good car ride, and is a quiet companion. While Lubeck is easy to have in the house, he does need some work on his recall as he will sometimes avoid his human if he is not sure what is going to happen if he lets that hand grab his collar. He also needs to learn that he is a little large to be a lap dog. Lu loves his people and is the ultimate party host, welcoming all the adult humans he has met so far into his foster home with ease.

Lubeck came to us with a severe ear infection and perforated eardrum. He is currently being treated, and seems to be making good progress. Lubeck needs a home that will include him in daily activities, as well as continue his socialization and training. He may be a little too much for small children as he doesn't know his size.

Cats and small furry critters are unknown.
