DeanDean Head

Dean is a handsome black and tan boy at around 18-24 months old. He came to us from a local shelter so we don't know much about his background. This stunning boy is young and active and loves to get attention from dogs and people alike. He really believes he is just a giant lap dog and would love nothing more than to snuggle up and get attention from any willing person. He will try and climb/put his feet up to get closer to his person but quickly gets back down when corrected.

Dean currently lives with another female shepherd and loves to follow along. Often times when she heads outside to chase the squirrels or just watch the world outside he has trouble deciding whether to stay with foster mom or follow her outside. He can be a bit insistent and pesty when he wants attention, but takes correction well from both humans and other dogs. He does not have a loud bark, but he uses it well and often when excited and ready to engage others in play.

Dean is housebroken with the use of a doggie door and has no problem letting you know if he needs to go out. He is learning his basic commands and is learning not to pull on the leash when going out for a walk. Dean does not like to go into a crate, but once he is in, he quickly settles in and sleeps through the night with no issues. He has not been around small dogs or cats so it is unknown how he would do.

With continued training and socialization, this young boy will make a nice addition to a family that is willing to make him a part of their lives.

This is a Level 2 Dog.
