Zita

Zita is a sweet, petite, utterly charming Belgian Malinois girl, just about 2 years old. She was an unclaimed stray from Merced so we know nothing about her background. Zita has a heart murmur but don't tell her that. It sure doesn't slow her down any.

This little charmer knows just how to work a crowd. She'll place her paw oh-so-delicately on your knee, turn her cute little head sideways and smile adoringly up in your face. And end up upside down in your lap while she steals your lunch. She's just full of surprises because you just never know what's she's going to get into next. She's very food motivated, she'll swipe a loaf of bread off the counter quick as a wink the second your back is turned. She enjoys being in the house and is housebroken, sleeps in a crate at night, and come morning, will slowly exit with a big stretch and a roll at your feet.

Zita is playful with other dogs, but won't tolerate any rudeness, especially from young males who bark in her face. She's very submissive with people and is learning her obedience, although she still thinks "Come" is optional. She always has a twinkle in her eye and mischief in her heart. She only has a mild interest in playing ball, but her absolute favorite activity is to play Queen of the Hill. She just loves to climb on everything from couches to cars. If there's someway to get higher, she's on it!

Her love of climbing is only surpassed by her extremely high prey drive and her exceptionally keen cat radar. If there's a cat anywhere in three counties, she's on it, so no cats or other furry little critters for this huntress. She doesn't dig or chew, but she does like the sound of her own voice and will nuisance bark until corrected.

Zita is looking for a home with an active, quick-witted owner who has a really good sense of humor and can stay one step ahead of this bright little scamp.

Zita is located in the Oakdale area.
