Wilson

Wilson is a handsome 4 year old classic black and tan GSD, who is on the smaller side at about 65-70 pounds. Wilson was an unclaimed stray at a Sacramento area shelter so nothing is known about his background.

Wilson is a very sweet, affectionate boy with medium energy. He has gotten along with all dogs he has met thus far, but is a little unsure of how to play with them. He avoids any confrontation with other dogs. He walks well on leash, and loves to be with his people at all times. He has been sleeping in a crate at night, and although at first he barks until everyone is in bed, he then does settle down and sleep quietly. Wilson is fairly quiet in his kennel during the day, but would prefer to have free roam of the yard.

Wilson overall has very nice house manners. His biggest flaw is he likes to try and climb in your lap when you are seated. It seems like he also may have been allowed to sit on the sofa in his past, as he has been reminded to find a dog bed a couple of times. Wilson is housebroken, is very good at going and finding a place to lie down when the family is settling in for dinner or to watch a movie. Wilson knows commands such as sit and down, and is easy to have around.
