TaylaTayla Head

Tayla is a solid black female weighing in at about 60 pounds who was an unclaimed stray from Modesto. She is about 2 years old, and before coming into rescue, she was not exposed to much of the outside world.

She is very friendly with everyone she has met thus far, and is learning to play and get along with other dogs. She still keeps a close eye on her person, and doesn't stray too far away. If given the opportunity, she would gladly be a lap dog. She has a strong willingness to please, and this makes her a joy to work with.

When she first came into her foster home, she was very reactive and unsure of other dogs if they came too close to her. She is learning to greet unknown dogs appropriately. Tayla now plays with both female and male dogs in her foster home, but does tend to play a little rough at times. Supervision during playtimes will be necessary for a while to ensure her play doesn't get out of hand.

Tayla does have strong prey drive, so a home with cats, small dogs or other small critters would not be suitable. She would do best with another dog of similiar size and energy/play level. She is quiet in her crate at night, and settles on her bed while in the house. Tayla like to go for car rides, but can get car sick at times. With more frequent rides and fries from trips through McDonalds, she may get over this issue.

She needs an experienced owner who knows how to keep a dog calm when things get exciting, and knows how to control boisterous play. With continued obedience training and socialization, Tayla will be a great companion dog for some lucky family.

NO CATS, CRITTERS OR SMALL DOGS.

This is a Level 3 Dog. Please be sure you understand what this level of dog requires.
