OzOz Head

Oz is a 10-11 month old, handsome black and tan boy. While a little underweight now, he will grow into a big boy.  Oz was turned in to a Sacramento Area Shelter by his owner when they decided they had too many animals.

In his previous life, Oz was an outdoor only dog, so everything is new indoors at his foster home.  He is mesmerized by ceiling fans, is not real sure what is going to happen when the dishwasher door opens, and is just now mastering the dreaded stairs.  It is both comical and a joy to watch him experience everything for the first time.  He is almost housebroken.

Oz has gotten along with all of the male and female dogs in his foster home so far, and plays with all the other dogs appropriately. Being young, he doesn't always take clues real well that an older dog is done playing, but he takes correction well.

Oz is good at settling in the house, and sleeping quietly in his crate at night.  While Oz is a fairly easy going guy, he doesn't know a thing (well, he has learned Sit, but that's about it so far.)  He will need a home that is committed to his socialization and training.  So far Oz has only had mild interest in the outdoor cat in his foster home, and may be able to live with a cat with careful supervision.

This is a Level 2 Dog.
