MillieMillie Head

Millie is a 2-3 year old girl who was an unclaimed stray from Modesto Shelter. She was so scared in the shelter environment, she found herself on the euthanasia list for being "fearful". Once given a soft introduction, she was trying to climb in the evaluator's lap for affection. Even in the stressed shelter environment, she was giving kisses, and loved being handled and touched.

Millie is a long and lean girl, and has earned the title of a "GSD supermodel" in her foster home. She appears housebroken, sleeps quietly in a crate and night, and will retreat to her crate for naps during the day also. She is being fostered in a rural ranch setting with several other Shepherds, and gets along with everyone. Millie rides very well in a car, walks nicely on leash, and has a great recall. She may be hesitant at approaching new and unfamiliar people and situations, but quickly recovers and accepts pets and affection.

A great game of chase is Millie's favorite way to spend her spare time. She readily invites other playful dogs to a race around the yard or to a game of tug. Millie would be happiest in a home with another playful dog and an active family.
