RIP December 4, 2008
Sweet little Daisy just wasn't thriving like the other pups. She started out smaller and really had never picked up and taken off growing like the others. Even despite their kennel cough, the others were growing like normal puppies. Daisy's appetite was only so-so and she was fading.
We took her in yesterday and when the tests came back this morning, she was a very sick little girl. She either had congenital kidney disease or had gotten into a toxin like anti-freeze before we got her and it damaged her kidneys. She desperately needed a transfusion but her blood count was too low for it, and the outcome wasn't good for any problems she had.
Sadly, we let her go to the bridge this morning. Bless her little heart, she was a good puppy.
