Hurricane

Hurricane (a.k.a. Cane) is a large handsome black and tan bicolor. He is about 5-6 years old weighs in at about 100 lbs. Cane has a New Year's resolution to lose 10 lbs., so he would like an owner that will help him get to a healthier weight. Cane was surrendered to rescue after his owner died, and the neighbor could no longer care for him.

Although Cane has been mostly outdoors this past year, he previously lived inside and appears to be house trained. Though he does not show a lot of formal training, he seems to know some basic commands and is fairly easy to walk on leash. Cane rides nicely in the car, but has not been crate trained.

He is friendly and affectionate with people once he gets to know them, has gotten along with the other large male and female dogs in his foster home. Cane needs a gentle approach with corrections, as he a little hand shy at first.

Cane would love a family that will include him in daily activities, and continue his obedience and socialization.
