HiltonHilton Head

Hilton is a 10 week old, very cute, black and tan female. She came to us through a shelter along with siblings that had possibly gotten into rat poison. The prior owner didn't want to spend the money to take them to a vet so the litter landed at the shelter. She is on a Vitamin K treatment and has shown no signs that suggest she was actually poisoned.

Hilton is a sociable puppy living in a foster home with her brother, Ahwahnee, three adult German Shepherds and cats. This is one big drama queen, but is tougher than she lets on. If left alone, she is the first and loudest to cry. She loves snuggling with her brother or another dog that happens to be nearby when she's tired. She quickly learned which bars on a wrought iron fence were just big enough for her to squeeze through.

She and her brother wake up once or twice during the night. Once they've relieved themselves, they come back in and sleep for a total of 8-9 hours. She also is just starting to chew on things nearby, i.e., shoelaces, ends of jackets, etc. but can be redirected easily. Hilton loves playing with toys and her brother. She also met a 10 lb Lhasa Apso recently and found her to be a great playmate. Hilton is affectionate and a good eater.

A home with another male dog would be best for this girl who relies on another dog for comfort and a pillow. The new owner(s) must also be patient to teach house manners, house training and all the other basics that come with owning a puppy that will grow up to be big dog soon.

Hilton will be spayed on 4/6 and then be available for a new home.

Interested adopters must read and meet all puppy requirements and complete an adoption questionnaire and puppy questionnaire.
