Eddie

Eddie is a very handsome young male of 15 months, and approximately 80 pounds. He was an owner surrender to the Sacramento SPCA. He is energetic, loves to go on walks and walks well on a leash (for a teenager.)

He ignores the cats in his foster home unless they move, and then he tries to get them to run so he can play chase. Once they hiss at him he admits defeat and waddles on. The small dog in his foster home tolerates him and will let him know if she's had enough of his puppinesss.

Eddie is super sweet guy. He gives kisses freely and will train for love. He enjoys getting groomed and being with his foster family. Eddie is a curious fella and wants to know what everyone is doing in every room. He does like to bark at/with the dachshund dogs next door and alarm barks only if a person is actually at the door, not just walking by. Eddie is housebroken but is just learning basic commands such as Sit and Come.

Eddie loves to be around the teenagers, and their friends, in his foster home. It is not known how he is with young children. Due to his energy level and need for discipline, it may be better to keep Eddie with respectful, older children. He would do great in a home where he is the only pet his family can smother with love or with another large dog he can play with. Eddie will need to be with a family that is willing to take the time to train this sweet guy so he can grow into a beautiful, humble giant.
