Dixie

Dixie is a 4-month old little girl who is as busy as she is cute. She is almost housebroken, and sleeps in a crate at night. Dixie does get a little car sick, so care needs to be taken not to feed her before travel.

Dixie is very eager to learn and is very food motivated, so training should be fairly easy, she will just need a person dedicated to making her the best dog she can be. She has almost mastered sitting for dinner but still does like taking a flying leap into your lap when she comes in from playing.

Dixie gets along with all the large dogs she's met, but her rough-and-tumble play style might be too much for small dogs. She is currently in a foster home with multiple dogs, both male and female, young and mature, so she has lots of activity and play partners.

She will do best in a home with another dog that is also very active and likes to play. Dixie can be a little bossy with other dogs, but will take correction from the other dogs well. She has only shown moderate interest in the outdoor cat in her foster home, so may be able to live with one under careful supervision.
