CedarCedar Head

Cedar is very handsome and lanky black and tan boy, who is approximately 1 year old and came to us from a Sacramento shelter, so little is known of his background.

In his foster home, he is living and doing great with a large male German Shepherd and a male Pug. Cedar's foster family report that he has settled into their routine nicely, and has immediately become part of the household!

He is a young, exuberant, and curious German Shepherd, who if left alone in the house will have a field day, and get into anything and everything. He is as inquisitive as he is sweet, but like any young dog, and will need guidance, boundaries, and leadership to become a great companion.

Cedar is crate trained but can be challenging in the night and in the early mornings...if Cedar is awake, he believes his people should also be awake. He is a model "loose leash walker," is learning basic obedience commands and loves to play with his people and the dogs in his foster home.

Cedar bonds better with women, loves attention, will try to sit in your lap, and loves to cuddle. We believe that due to his young age and puppy energy, he would do best in a home with another dog and if there would be kids, they should be teenagers and above.

Cedar is interested in the cats in this new foster home. He went nose to nose with the cat on the couch, but he didn't show signs of wanting to do harm. With corrections to "leave it" he backed off and quickly laid down near the cat without showing further interest.

Strong leadership and training skills are a must!

This is a Level 3 Dog. Please be sure you understand what a dog of this Level requires.
