AtlasAtlas Head

Atlas is a large, handsome boy around 5 years old who weighs in at about 100 pounds. His airplane ears give him a happy- go-lucky appearance. He was turned into a local shelter for chasing livestock. While taking walks with his foster family he only seems to have mild interest in cows, sheep and goats, but does have quite a bit of interest in the resident outdoor cat, so no small, furry critters for this fellow.

This nice boy has gotten along with every person or large dog he has met so far, playing nicely with both the male and female dogs in his foster home. He wants no part of trouble, and does his best to avoid any troublesome situation.

Atlas is easy to have in the house, he has nice house manners, and will go lie down on his bed if asked. He settles in nicely in the evenings. He loves riding in the car and behaves very well on rides. His manners out in places such as Home Depot and PetCo are wonderful.

He is trustworthy enough to sleep free at night, but if crating is what is needed, he will resist. Once wrestled in, he will sleep quietly until morning. This holds true for kenneling during the day. Once he learns throwing a mini-fit will do him no good, he will go reluctantly with you into his kennel. Once in the kennel, he is fairly quiet during the day.

Atlas becomes very attached to his people, and needs a home where he will be included in daily activities, and where someone will continue his socialization and training.

NO LIVESTOCK, CATS OR CRITTERS.

This is a Level 2 Dog.
