Cristiano

Cristiano is a gorgeous 5 year old gentleman and ~95 lbs of pure companionship. He would do best losing about 15 lbs to keep the stress off his hind end. He is a classic, black and tan shepherd with a beautiful black saddle and light colored feathers up the spine. This boy was originally an owner surrender in 2019, adopted and found wandering this month and taken to a local shelter. Attempts to find his adopter were not answered, so we took him back when his stray hold period was up.

He tends to prefer women and can be protective of his humans, especially his female human. A firm correction is needed to keep him from escalating. He likes to be with the family, enjoying walking on a leash, laying down to watch some TV or waiting patiently for you to finish your work at the computer. He is housebroken, using a dog door with ease, and sleeps quietly next to your bed at night. He is not very toy-motivated. He just wants to be with you. He is in a foster home with a medium sized terrier. Previously he lived with a border collie, German Shepherd, a cat and horses.

Strong leadership and regular exercise is needed for this boy's next forever home. Small critters unknown.
