Shirley is a 4 month old black and tan female weighing almost 30 lbs. She was an owner surrender who in her previous home was kept outside all the time with the other resident dogs.
Shirley came to us very shy and shut down, but is now very lively and energetic. She enjoys playing around the house and dive bombs into the dog beds. She can startle easily, which will cause little accidents, but all-in-all, she is house broken.
Shirley will stand or sit by the door to let you know she wants out. She will sit to be let in and to go on walks and she is crate trained. A walk is great for her because once she comes back sleep sets in. She loves to be around her humans and is learning to respect the cats. She does well with both large and small dogs.
Shirley would do best in a home with another confident male dog. She will need someone willing to work through the puppy energy, exercise her regularly, and take her to obedience classes to bring out the best in this smart and lovely girl.
This is a Level 2 Dog.
