Lara A is a black and tan senior female approximately 8 years old and weighs 76 lbs. She was adopted just over a year ago and returned when her prior owner decided to move to a new location and he couldn't take her with him. Lara has had repeated hot spots and has been on medications to try to help her. We've also started her on a limited ingredient dog food to see if it could be a food allergy.
Her current foster says she's a great, calm dog. She gets a little frisky in the morning and again in the afternoon. She gets walked 1-2 miles twice a day. She can get a little reactive when she sees other dogs on her walks, but corrects easily. With slow introductions, she met a medium and large sized dog and did well. She is afraid of and/or sensitive to, flies and bees or maybe all flying insects. She sometimes chases them, but then retreats. If outside and she sees flying bugs, she wants to go back inside. It's possible she'd been stung by something in the past, which could explain her intolerance now.
Lara has great house manners, is crate trained, knows basic commands and loves car rides. She follows the foster dad everywhere. She has been quiet in the house. She is food motivated and learning to take treats gently.
Cats and small critters unknown.
This is a Level 2 Dog.
