TimmyTimmy Head

Timmy is an extremely nice, affectionate 70 lb, 4.5 year old male, who was returned to us by his previous adopter when he moved out of the country and couldn't take Timmy along.

This boy was well cared for and came to us with toys and treats, beds, bowls and extras that his past family wanted to be sure he had. He was an only dog, but had lived with a cat, and was kept socialized with other dogs.

In his current foster home, he is living with cats, two adult male shepherds and another female foster shepherd. He and the female love to romp and play, although Timmy doesn't seem to understand the game of chase. The other dog grabs a toy and tries to engage Timmy, but either Timmy doesn't understand her game or just doesn't want to expend the energy to chase her.

Timmy is sleeping nicely through the night on a dog pillow with the other dogs. He knows basic commands, is housebroken, and rides very well in the car. He was driven to Sacramento from Pasadena when returned and had no problems with the ride. He has moderate energy and is very easy to have in the house. He has not had exposure to small children, but due to his easy nature, he might be able to live with children. This is a turn-key dog for someone that is looking for a very nice boy.

This is a Level 2 Dog

Original Bio and Pictures - September 2011

Timmy is a 12-18 month old, classic black and tan male who was an unclaimed stray from Modesto. He has a gorgeous, soft coat with a white spot on his chin. His background is unknown, apparently he had very little socialization, as he has no confidence or training. He appears to be very timid, but not fearful. When he is unsure of something, he flops to the ground in a submissive manner.

Timmy is very sweet and loving towards his people, but shows no interest in playing with the other foster dogs or toys yet. He is still adjusting to his foster home, and isn't quite housebroken yet. He is still learning house manners and how to walk on a leash. When on a lead, he will walk but will default into his down if pulled too hard. He rides comfortably in a car.

Unknown with cats or children so far.
