Mishka

Mishka is a very large, very handsome young adult male, around 1-2 years old and close to 90 pounds. He has cover-dog good looks with gorgeous eyes and a striking tricolor black/tan/cream coat. Mishka was given up when his elderly owner passed away.

He is a typical young adult male German Shepherd, confident, outgoing and fairly calm. He still needs enough exercise to satisfy a healthy youngster, so he won't be content lying next to the recliner, he'll want to be out and about doing things. Mishka is very bright and very trainable. He's housebroken, crate-trained, walks well on leash, knows Sit, Down, Stay and Come, although he's not 100% reliable yet, he's well on his way. He loves to go for car rides.

This big, strong boy shows way too much interest in cats and small furry critter, and while he's controllable with a very experienced handler, he should go to a home without such temptations. He gets along with other respectful dogs but wouldn't be a good dogpark dog as he wouldn't tolerate obnoxious or rude dogs. Mishka is learning to play catch with a tennis ball and still gets too grabby for a home with small children.

Mishka is looking for a moderately active home with someone experienced in handling big, confident, young male German Shepherds. He'll need an owner with good, strong leadership skills and some further obedience training to become a dynamite companion. This dog will be a real show-stopper once he matures.

NO CATS, NO SMALL FURRY CRITTERS.
