Maika

Maika is a black and tan female, approximately 12 months old, weighing about 60 lbs. She was a stray from a Sacramento area shelter, so nothing is known of her background.

She is a gentle girl with medium to low energy, has good house manners, and understands physical boundaries. She is is not quite housebroken, and as with many young dogs, benefits from reminders to go outside. She looks forward to outdoor activities, walks well on a leash, and is learning to enjoy car rides and just wants to please her human. Maika expresses exuberant energy at the first sight of humans and other dogs, but quickly calms with guidance. She gets along with large and small dogs, when introduced properly.

Toys appear new to Maika, but is slowly learning to play with balls and toys. To really get Maika to play, turn on the hose and spray the water for her to try to eat and bite. Further training and socialization will turn Maika into an exceptional girl.
