LobaLoba Head

Loba is a fun-sized 3 year old, almost solid black female who came to us from a local shelter. She was surrendered by her owners, but no background was provided, except that she lived her life outdoors. She weighs approximately 65-70 lbs, but could stand to lose a couple of pounds.

When she first came to her foster home she was a bit reserved and cautious, as everything was new to her. Although cautious, she was very interested in learning and it didn't take her long to discover that being indoors and hanging with her pack was a great way to live!

She seems housebroken, using a doggie door, and has nice house manners. She lives in a foster home with another young female German Shepherd and two male German Shepherds and gets along well with other large dogs, but she has not been around small dogs. She has come nose-to-nose with the resident cat and did not appear interested in him, so it is possible that she could learn to live with dog-saavy cats.

Loba is being left unattended indoors with the other dogs when her people are away and she will sleep quietly in her crate or loose in the house. As she is settling in, she is starting to show her playful side. She is as beautiful and majestic as her name implies (Wolf), but there is nothing wild about her. This stunning girl is easy and fun to have around. She loads up in the car like a champ, walks well on leash with very little correction necessary, and meets all people with a doggie grin and wag of her tail.

Loba would love to be part of family who includes her on outings and activities with perhaps a confident male canine playmate to continue building her confidence.
