Kaytu

Kaytu is an 8-10 week old mostly black female. She was found abandoned with her two male siblings, Mammoth and Denali, and brought to a Sacramento area shelter, so we have no information about her background.

Kaytu is a bundle of fun as she engages her siblings in active play. Her initial caution in new situations is quickly replaced with confident curiosity and wonder. She welcomes the human with boundless expressions of joy and seeks pleasure in sharing her body warmth on your lap.

Kaytu is missing patches of hair and the cause has not been determined, except that mange & contagious skin problems have been ruled out. It is unknown if her hair will grow back or whether we refer to her as a new designer dog that will shed less than the normal German Shepherd.

She is being crated at night alone to get her used to being in a crate. Initially Kaytu cries, but eventually tires and goes to sleep. She and her siblings are also being introduced to other basic commands and house manners. She has not been tested with cats, small dogs, or small critters.
