Helga-Sue

Helga-Sue is a petite black and tan female German Shepherd that is approximately 3 years old, and weighs about 60 lbs. She was an owner surrender to rescue, but little is known of her background.

She has average, moderate energy for a GSD, but playing with her foster brother or going on long walks easily manages it. After her exercise, she settles nicely in the home.

She will do best in an active but patient home, and with someone to continue her socialization and training. Helga Sue stays outside with her foster brother while her foster parent is at work, with the other dog to keep her company, she does just fine. She is very bonded to the resident dog in her foster home, so we would prefer for her to go to a home with another male dog to play with. She does well with children and other dogs. Helga-Sue has great house manners, other than occasionally counter surfing, but we are continuing to work on that. She is housebroken, stays off the furniture and sleeps on her own bed.

Helga-Sue has a great disposition and will walk up to you, put her head in your lap and wait for you to scratch behind her ears. She knows basic commands but like most GSDs, will need continued training.

Helga Sue has never been tested with cats, but when walking past one she showed a lot of interest.
