Georgia

Like all fine southern belles Georgia is a stunning beauty with a lovely figure and a glossy all black coat. She is 2.5 years old and weights a delicate 62 lbs. She is the perfect combination of sweet, shy, sassy, and silly. She can be a bit of a clown or a bit of a sneak, sometimes waiting until your back is turned to see what you left on the counter or stealing a sock from the laundry pile. But Georgia is always a princess. She is full of love, life, and character, and will keep you entertained.

Georgia does not like to be left alone for long (southern belles like lots of attention), so she'd prefer a home where she can be with you most of the time or where there is another gentle but playful dog to keep her company. She has met several male & female dogs her own size that she likes; she may be a little standoff-ish at first, but will warm up once she gets to know them, as long as they aren't too rough.

She has low to moderate energy, and walks very politely on leash. A stroll in the evening is just her speed. She is easy to train and very responsive to verbal corrections. She has spend some time in a foster home with a cat. She was interested in the cat, but she is trainable for someone who can commit the time to supervise and train her; but she should not be left unsupervised until she can be trusted.

Georgia likes to sleep by your bed, or better yet, on a dog bed of her own. She loves to have lots of toys of her own too! She knows how to use a dog door, or tell you when she needs to go out. She loves to go for rides in the car. Georgia is looking for a home with a laid back life-style, and someone to hang out with most of the time, who will appreciate both the princess and the character of this fine southern belle.
