DeeOGee is a cute, friendly, and energetic German Shepherd mix, around 18 months old, who loves everyone he meets and just wants a home of his own. He's a medium-sized boy and weighs around 40 pounds, and has a TON of energy to spare. He's too rambunctious for a home with small children. DeeOGee was rescued by one of our volunteers who found him out running loose in a dangerous neighborhood.
DeeOGee can be a bit of a bully with other dogs, and he wants to be top dog, so he doesn't get along with other dominant dogs. He's okay with females who won't challenge him. Unknown how he is with smaller dogs or cats, but probably wouldn't be a good mix. He does like to dig after gophers and will need work on his obedience. He does walk nicely on leash, sits when asked, and takes treats very politely.
He's looking for a very active home with a family who will give him structure and training. In return, he'll be a fun companion with his outgoing, happy attitude.
