CherCher Head

Cher is a very sweet and lovely sable girl, who we think is about 3 years old and weighs approximately 60 pounds. She came to us from a local area shelter so little is known of her background. When Cher arrived at the shelter, she had a ring-shaped wound on her left hock (rear leg) due to an embedded rope. She had minor surgery to remove the rope and the wound is healing nicely.

She is currently living in a foster home with a wide variety of male/female and large/medium sized dogs, of all ages, and has done well with all of them.

Cher is very people-focused and loves to give kisses. She follows her foster Dad from room-to-room, never leaving his side and settles nicely on the dog beds in each room. She has done well with everyone she has met, including children over the age of six and a relative who is in a wheelchair.

She is housebroken, crate trained and has decent house manners - except she is a counter surfing demon. Care must be taken with any food, bowls, treats, etc., that are left on the counter or in the sink, or this little spitfire will have them on the floor in a hot second. We are working on the counter surfing, and other basic obedience commands, including a sit/stay at meal time.

Cher can be a busy little girl and will sometimes get wound up and start darting around the house and yard while playing. She listens well and is easy to correct with verbal commands. She loves toys and likes to play ball and rope toss. She walks very well on leash, and rides nicely in the car.

Cher is looking for a home with a similar sized or larger male dog, a family willing to commit to obedience training, exercise and continued socialization for her.

No small furry critters for this pretty girl.
