CelestraCelestra Head

Celestra is a 5 year old black and tan girl and weights about 75 pounds. She was an unclaimed stray from Modesto Shelter. She was picked up at a local Vet Hospital where she had been taken by a good Samaritan who found her injured, possibly hit by a car, and suffering from a broken front leg. When no owner came forward during her time in the shelter, she came into rescue where her leg was properly treated. She is expected to make a full recovery in a few weeks.

Celestra appears to have been an outside dog that was not given much attention or training. But due to her sweet and affectionate demeanor, she was quickly deemed highly adoptable. She is learning proper house manners and adventuring out in the big world. Her leg being in a cast doesn't detour her from enjoying life and moving as needed. Celestra is still learning how to interact with other dogs, and prefers males to other females dogs. Being a typical mature female German Shepherd, she can be a little bossy and dominant with other female dogs.

Celestra is looking for a home that will continue to socialize her and exercise a little patience, as when she is unsure, she can submissive urinate. With time and a little training, this has mostly subsided as she is gaining more social skills.

It is unknown how she would do with cats or other small furry critters.
