Samantha BaileySamantha Bailey Head

Samantha Bailey, aka Sam or Sammy, is a pretty black and tan girl weighing 75 lbs. Her birthdate is 5/19/17. This girl was a house princess for the past two years sharing her home with an 11 y/o small yorkie and a male teenager. Her owners are divorcing and couldn't find apartments that would accept a German Shepherd. The wife was heartbroken to have to give her up.

This girl has a good amount of energy. Her last home would have her chase a quad runner and she would keep up for miles. She was a country girl and gets startled by the cars driving quickly past on the parkway where she's being walked. She knows basic commands and walks beautifully on a leash. When a ball is brought out, she'll chase it but doesn't return it. Instead she'll bat it with her feet and entertain herself. When hot, Sam dunks most of her face in the bucket of water and puts her feet in to cool off too. She is currently a bit aloof with the people in the foster home, but on leash she seems to enjoy attention, brushing and affection.

Sammy is trying to adjust to a home with three large German Shepherds. She is intimidated by them so slow, frequent introductions and time in a crate with them laying nearby are helping her understand that they will not harm her. We will post an update after she's fully accepting of the big dogs.

A home as an only dog or with another small dog would be best at the moment for Sammy. Getting to be a house princess again with regular exercise would also suit Sam well.

Cats and small critters unknown.

This is a Level 2 Dog.
